The natural dye allows the color variations in the leather to show through. Natural leather refers to the dye process of the leather. The leather is dipped in the dye, absorbed and then heat sealed. Because the dye is absorbed rather than coated, the leather is softer and more flexible than regular leather cord. This process also allows the natural color of the cord to come through. Natural dye colors have a matte, washed finish versus the shiny finish found in regular leather.
